Lisboa: Sintra, Regaleira & Roca Cape
Discover the beauty of Portugal on this 8-hour tour! Explore the enchanting town of Sintra, with its fairy-tale Palácio da Pena, the mysterious gardens of Quinta da Regaleira, and the iconic Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe.
Our journey begins and ends at the designated meeting point in Lisbon. From there, we will head to the charming town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where our guests can immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of a city that was once a retreat for European nobility. We’ll stroll through its narrow, winding streets filled with colorful buildings and traditional shops, and stop to taste the region’s typical sweets: Queijada and Travesseiro, true icons of Portuguese pastry.
Our first visit will be to the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira, a 19th-century palace shrouded in symbolism and esotericism. Commissioned by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro and designed by Luigi Manini, the estate blends Gothic, Manueline, and Renaissance styles. Its lush gardens hide caves, lakes, towers, and the famous Initiation Well—a spiral staircase descending into the earth, evoking initiation rituals linked to Freemasonry and the Templars. It’s a place where every detail invites contemplation and mystery.
Next, we’ll head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. There, facing the vast Atlantic Ocean, our visitors can feel the power of the winds and gaze upon the immensity of the horizon, where the sky meets the sea. It’s a dramatic and inspiring setting, perfect for memorable photos and moments of introspection.
We’ll end the tour with a panoramic visit to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, driving along scenic roads that reveal the beauty of the Sintra mountains and the region’s golden beaches, such as the famous Guincho Beach, known for its perfect waves that attract surfers from around the world. Along the way, we’ll share stories about the local wildlife, flora, and the secrets hidden in the mountains and cliffs.
This tour is a true immersion into the history, nature, and spirituality of Portugal—an experience that awakens the senses and nourishes the soul.
